A comprehensive hydrological monitoring network for a major river basin, covering discharge, water quality and sediment transport.
This project established a network of 12 automated hydrological monitoring stations across a major river basin spanning three administrative regions. The system provides continuous data on water levels, discharge rates, turbidity and basic water quality parameters, transmitted in real time to a central data management platform.
The project covered full lifecycle delivery — from hydrological survey and station siting through to installation, commissioning, data platform development and operator training.
Station locations were selected using a combination of hydrological analysis, accessibility assessment and data coverage modelling. All stations were installed to WMO standards with redundant power and communications.
The network delivered continuous hydrological data for the first time across this basin, enabling improved flood forecasting, water allocation decisions and environmental compliance monitoring for downstream water users.
